Five-Person Team Makes Strong First Impression with Technical Skills, Work Ethic and Client-Centered Focus
Boston, MA, September 19, 2017 (Newswire.com) - FinMason, a Boston-based FinTech and investment analytics firm, participated in the fourth annual Fuse Conference, held September 7-10, 2017, in Park City, Utah. Hosted by Orion Advisor Services, a leading portfolio accounting service provider for advisors, Fuse 2017 is the premier conference for financial services technology developers and programmers. Each September, the industry’s best coders gather in a mountain lodge for a weekend to build new integrations and change the technology experience for advisors everywhere. Fuse is open to all developers who work with Orion.
In their first appearance at Fuse, FinMason’s five-person team – three of whom flew in from FinMason’s Prague office (FinMason Europe, s.r.o.) – focused on integrating their portfolio analytics and risk data with Insight, Orion’s interactive client presentation tool, via their FinRiver API. FinMason was one of thirty companies to present their innovative hackathon solution at the event and were honored to accept an award for their hard work and initiative.
BURNING THE MIDNIGHT OIL
“We are proud to accept the ‘Burning the Midnight Oil’ award because it reflects our company culture of tenacity and commitment to serving our clients and helping them achieve their goals,” said Kendrick Wakeman, CFA®, CEO and founder of FinMason. “FinMason’s Fuse hackathon team was the last team working every night, well into the wee hours of the morning. They earned this award hands down and won the respect and admiration of everyone there. Those guys really rocked it and it was great to see.”
“We are building a very powerful brand as a dedicated group of individuals that have world-class skills and a fanatical devotion to helping clients succeed. All sorts of good things are happening as a result, and this is just the beginning.”
INDUSTRY LEADERS, PUSHING PEERS FORWARD
Fuse 2017 is a three day, weekend conference that focuses on creating reciprocal relationships among financial technology companies. “From financial planning to trading to CRM providers and more, if a firm has an interest in advancing technology for the financial advisor community, you can probably find them at one of our Fuse events,” said Orion CEO Eric Clarke. “During the event, judges with experience from across the industry evaluate the development and integrations created during the weekend for a year’s worth of bragging rights. The Fuse judges know innovation because they’re innovators too. These are the industry’s leaders, the ones who push their peers forward, and when they’re not judging the event and fulfilling their official duties, they’re also a lot of fun to have around.”
