The growing Chicago-based wealth management technology provider recognized for culture of open communication and employee support for the annual award.
CHICAGO, February 28, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Oranj, the industry’s first free, end-to-end wealth management software, has been named as one of 2019’s best places to work in financial technology. This annual survey and awards program, presented by SourceMedia and Best Companies Group, is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in the financial technology industry. Oranj, a growing Chicago-based startup was recognized for their communication practices and unique employee perks such as VIP tickets to the highly-popular music festival Lollapalooza. Companies recognized on this year’s list operate in and serve companies and consumers in a wide range of financial services including banking and mortgages, insurance, payments and financial advisory.
“As the founder and CEO of Oranj, I can tell you that as a team we work hard every day to foster a culture of openness and inclusivity,” said David Lyon. “I think for any company to be successful there must be a balance of work and play. It’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts to cultivate an environment and team that is among the best in the fintech arena.”
Companies from across the United States entered a two-part survey process to determine who would make it onto SourceMedia’s Best Places to Work in Financial Technology list. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and determined the final ranking.

This provided Chicago-based interns with the full experience of developing and releasing a product feature.
